Kits can be created during the sales order. They can also be created ahead of time to be available in the catalog.
Creating kits during the sales order process:
1. On the sales order page scroll to the items section on the first screen and click Add Custom Kit.
2. Add items from the catalog by searching the SKU or product name or add a custom product.
3. When selecting a custom product you can choose a sku already in the catalog that you want to customize. If you do this it will pre-fill the modal with any information that has already been set up for the sku. You can modify any of the current information or add additional information to the product. Once all details are entered click Submit.
4. If a brand new item is being created fill in as much known information as possible. At a minimum select a vendor, add vendor price and a retail price.
5. If the item will be added to the catalog, select the Add as a regular product checkbox above the product name.
6. As skus are added an item subtotal is created but the kit price will remain as $0 until you put in a value of your choosing.
7. You can scroll to each product to view the price of each item, if desired.
8. Once all skus are put into the kit click Add to SO on the bottom of the page.
9. You can repeat the process if more kits will be included on the order. You can also add individual items from the catalog to the order.
Creating kits to store in the catalog:
1. Navigate to Kits on the left panel.
2. Select New Kit from the top of the page.
3. Once the panel opens enter in a name for the kit, create a sku, add the items you want included. Note: The base product must already be in the catalog, however, you can add specific specs to that base product.
4. Make sure to assign a price. You will see the unit price below each product that has been added but a kit price is not automatically populated.
5. The new kit will now appear on the kit list and display the items within the kit. On the sales order page under kits you can search/add for any of the kits that were previously created.
