*How to apply deposits and discounts

Settings Page:

1. Navigate to Settings --> General Settings.

2. View the Discount and Deposit options. By setting these values, all orders will automatically have the discount/deposit applied to the order. The amounts are applied on an item level. 

Deposits: 

1. Navigate to the Review and Confirm page.

2. If a pre-set deposit is set up then all non-inventoried items will have that deposit percentage applied. This will occur regardless of fulfillment type. 

3. A second way to apply a deposit is at the item level. Do this by clicking the + to the right of the item. 

4. A $0 value will be displayed. You can enter any value desired, up to the full amount of the item.

5. A third way to apply a deposit is on the entire order by using the Apply Deposit button at the top of the page. Using this functionality will overwrite any deposits that were pre-set. This feature will apply a deposit on all items regardless of their inventory status. The value will be proportional to the price of each item. Note: If you update or delete a deposit value the original amount entered is no longer valid. 

Discounts:

1. A discount can be applied on a line item by clicking the + and selecting discount. 

2. Once the line populates you have the option to apply a dollar or percentage discount to the item. 

3. You can also apply an order discount. This will lower the entire bill and automatically portion out the discount to each item proportionally to the price of each item. 

4. If desired, Percentage and dollar discounts can be co-mingled on an invoice. 

Note: By applying a discount on a non-inventoried item the required deposit will be reduced.

Note: An order and item discount can be applied at the same time. The values will be separated into their own lines.
